I have no complaints about either of the hats this year (or last year for that matter). I like both the horns and the halo, and definitely like the glowing/twinkling details they added. I don't have any issues with their sizes either, as many have mentioned. They both look pretty snazzy (yeah, snazzy) on my monks.

Honestly, even if I don't particularly care for one of the hats during a festival, it's still nice that Anet tries to do these things for us. They sure as hell don't HAVE to. However, of all the hats I have from the past 5 years, I can only think of one that I don't really like.

Now if they could only tweak the old ones to not remove hair....meh, too much work. lol.

Both hats are hands down the best so far, including those that are payed for imo.

Really really like them both :-).

Some people dug out inventory icons of a new wand and a focus that Gwen wields during the wedding. I wonder what about them? I hoped this focus would be some finale reward. I'd love to have it!

And hats that can be used with tonics = win! :P

so much better then the last 2 years of wintersday( pieces of ice+ stupid looking hats anyone?). Not sure why this is a christmas hat tho. Seems like it would be more appropriate for Halloween. I'm still ok with it tho i like them

oh and quick note about the horns... doesnt work on el phantasmal tonic... all you see is the fire floating around their heads.. no horns :/(halo does look cure on it tho)

ill edit this post as i test more tonics

halo clips with boreal tonic form, and trapdoor, and skeletonic and lastly the beetle juice tonic. doesnt show up on macabre.

and the horns dont work with all the el tonics i tried(all monthly except ooze) and the beetle juice tonic.

Best hats since '06 PERIOD! Both of them!

GG Anet, I am very pleased this year! 3 years of disappointment both Halloween and Wintersday, but this year, you even made up for the shit hats from Halloween too! *claps*

EDIT: to the above post I only read now: Halo also has clipping isues with Ooze tonic. It looks like a euh, how do you say it in english.. The thing with 5 corners.. Not square, not hexagonal, the one in between xD

EDIT EDIT: The horns don't show up on the tonic either, but you get 2 little balls of fire floating above you..

Halo = Good idea but it looks bad. I was envisioning a thin little halo above our heads. Not some giant chunky ring that rains glitter.

Horns = Waaaaay to big/long and way to high up. Look like a fking minotaur but its so out of place.

Straight to trash can like every other hat since yule cap

i dunno if anyone noticed this too or it is just me. if you wear the horns on the headless lunatic armor it looks like 2 glowing balls of fire. and my halo looks like its dripping sparkles onto my chars head. lols. but i love the hats. dont like the horns but the halo is my absolute favorite.

My input is that both of the hats for this year are amazing. Well done!

It too bad the horns don't look like:

... and for the love of snow and icicles, would everyone please stop calling them hats? They're accessories!

And the horns on the contrary are a bit too big and aren't aligned as well as they could be, so instead of 'Hellboy' you get 'Err ok what the hell'. If they wanted to do them big then they should have done it in a style similar to Lihiniel's picture.
I don't know about that. While many of the old hats may have looked great, a lot of them were ruined by the fact they made your character go bald. It's particularly an issue with female characters, that just end up looking awful with them, ruining an otherwise good design.

I wouldn't say these new ones are good just because they don't make you go bald, but it's definitely a huge plus in their favour.

Horns are the best thing ever added for hats. And the halos look adorable on monks and paras.
